UNIFORM CHAIR
ALEXANDER TAYLOR
PRINCIPAL COLLECTION

Design/ 2008

Description/
The utilitarian nature of anonymous old classroom chairs first inspired the design of the Uniform Chair. The features Alexander Taylor recognised and appreciated in these entirely functional objects are clearly articulated in his new design that furthers his exploration in the processes of manipulating sheet metal. Intelligent, sophisticated folds within the legs and frame define its form, whilst a classic combination of industrial materials; metal and oak veneer plywood, further enhance the character of this versatile chair.

The Uniform Chair is a stackable chair and works well where space saving is key, such as restaurants and kitchen or dining areas.
