Carlo Nason
Originally designed in Murano by Carlo Nason in the 1960s, Gelato has been re-engineered as a playful portable lamp. Its colourful mouth-blown base supports an orb of acid-etched opaline glass, illuminated by a replaceable custom-made LED bulb operated by a three-step dimming switch. Powered by a magnetically charged battery, Gelato is suitable for indoor use only.

Gelato, eponymously named for its resemblance to the quintessential Italian symbol, features a colourful glass vase, or cup, that nestles an orb of frosted glass. The freestanding orb hosts a custom-made, replaceable LED bulb with an integrated battery, and is activated with a haptic three-step dimmer. The portable glass lamp is charged directly on the orb, using a USB-C magnetic charging cable now universal to Established & Sons’ collection of portable luminaires.The collection is now enriched with two new colours: Rose and Caramel.
Gelato, playful and uniquely giftable, is offered in four distinct finishes aptly named to highlight its Italian heritage: Spritz (orange), Mint (green), Azure (blue), and Smoke (grey). This varied colour offering makes Gelato exceptionally suitable for interiors from a beautiful minimalist home to a buzzling colourful café.
